Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP) has organised a 5S National Convention on November 5, 2015 at the auditorium of the Postgraduate Institute (PIM), No: 28, Lesley Ranagala Mawatha, Colombo 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for the benefit of industrialists and organisations interested in having a total quality environment in their production plants/organisations.

All the resource personnel would be from organisations that have achieved success in implementation of 5S and won awards at many award schemes. They will present their success stories and more importantly the obstacles they had to face in implementing 5S. This is a good opportunity to every organisation that wants to implement 5S and enter into competitions.

SLAAQP promotes quality control circles in Sri Lanka and is the member of 13-member country Quality Control Forum.

Incidentally, SLAAQP hosted the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) 2014, which was held on October 13 and 14, 2014 at the BMICH with the participation of more than 900 foreign delegates. The leading entities in the region such as Toyota and Kubota from Japan, Samsung from South Korea, TATA, Reliance, TVS, Hero, Bajaj, Ashok Leyland from India took part and presented their case studies at this two-day mega event.
