Singer introduces PlayStation 4

Revolutionising the gaming experience for PlayStation enthusiasts, Singer Sri Lanka introduced PlayStation 4 (PS4) recently in its Mount Lavinia showroom by showcasing five gaming booths, enabling the fans to experience the next generation console.

PS4 brings players high-quality technology and graphics and it is powered by an 8-core x86-64 AMD CPU and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM plus hard local drive space and it weighs just 2.8 kilogrammes.

It includes a ‘suspend mode’ that can instantly suspend gameplay allowing users to stop playing any game, at any point and then resume playing at a later time and date. PS4 has a supercharged architecture with touch-sensitive and eject-buttons.

Speaking to Mirror Business Singer Deputy Director Chandana Samarasingha said this will give a better and a realistic gaming experience for the players.
Commenting on the console Singer Marketing Manager Vajira Thennakoon told Mirror Business that the PlayStation will provide a latest gaming experience as well as gives visually realistic graphics and audio.

“Basically PS4 is a leading gaming console which is one of the best in the industry and it provides the latest gaming experience. Basically the PlayStation was not represented in Sri Lanka, this is the first time officially a company bringing a PlayStation, earlier version was PlayStation 3 and this is the successor of PS3. It has a better aspect and the gaming experience is also better,” he said.

PS4, a home video game console, has had 22.3 million units of sales (as of March 31, 2015) globally and during the 2014 fiscal year, PS4 topped global console sales.

Many enthusiastic youngsters were gathered at the event to witness the PS4 and the winners of the gaming competition were awarded. The participants shared their views about the experience they gained. They were thrilled and excited to be part of this.

Moreover, Singer offers two games, FIFA 15 Standard Edition and GTA V-ASIA bundled with the package.

The PS4 will be priced at Rs.120,999 and also it offers a standalone unit without the camera for Rs.79,990.
