Russian delegation meets Plantation Minister

A four-member delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Russia the Council of Federation (Senate) Iliyas Umakhanov met Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake recently at the Ministry of Plantation Industries.

 The vice chairman and the minister discussed on assistance towards Sri Lanka’s tea plantation and its promotional activities.

Vice Chairman Umakhanov invited Minister Navin Dissanayake to the Tourism Festival which is scheduled to be held in February 2016, in Russia.

Other member of the delegation, Ambassador of the Russian Federation of Sri Lanka and Maldives Alexander A Karchava and the Chairman of Sri Lanka Tea Board Rohan Pethiyagoda also participated at the discussions.
