Oviklo International recognized for logistics and transport sector performance again

The National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) celebrated Sri Lanka’s best corporate in a gala ceremony held on the 24th of November at the Colombo Hilton. At the ceremony, Oviklo International shone as the premier logistics solutions provider and was recognized for setting the benchmark ever higher for the logistics sector in the country. 

The NBEA, conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, recognizes and rewards players in the commercial playing field, for not merely excellence in business practices, but also for valuable contribution to the advancement of their respective sectors. 

The NBEAs are nationally considered the gold standard, rewarding superior quality and achievements in the various sectors of business. Currently in its 12th year, the NBEAs have seen an annual increase in the number of participants for adjudication, vying for awards and recognition. Each entrant is judged by a panel of renown experts from a variety of fields, based on a spectrum of multi-dimensional criteria, including leadership, corporate governance, capacity building, performance management, local and global market reach, corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability and business and financial results.

This year, OVIKLO was presented with the Silver award for the transport and logistics sector – which is a great vote of confidence from business leaders in the Country as at the 2014 NBEAs the fledgling Company took away a Merit award. 

Contributing to its success, undoubtedly, was Oviklo appointed as a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) earlier this year. The CILT is the leading international professional body that brings together logistics and transport service providers from across the globe, with over 33,000 members in over 30 countries worldwide. Further, the establishment of its state of the art warehouse in Kaduwela, the Company is poised to continue to dominate the sector in the future.

The most recent such Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) venture involved re-venturing the drinking water system of rural area school in North Central Province.
