Orient Finance gets CB nod for IPO

Orient Finance, formerly known as Bartleet Finance, has received the Central Bank’s (CB) nod to list its shares in the Colombo Stock Exchange. 

Orient Finance, a unit of the Janashakthi group, merged with Bartleet Finance under the financial sector consolidation programme of the CB. Consequent to the amalgamation, the remaining entity was Orient Finance.

“...the Central Bank of Sri Lanka by their letter of September 1, 2015 has granted approval for listing the shares of the company on the Colombo Stock Exchange by way of an Initial Public Offer subject to in principle approval of the Colombo Stock Exchange,” a filing by Orient Finance said.
