Lyceum learners achieve top results at Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards

The Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards ceremony organised by the Cambridge International Examination Board was held at The Kingsbury Colombo recently. Cambridge International Examinations is the only global organisation founded by the world’s top universities to conduct international education assessment and awards. It is affiliated to the University of Cambridge in England. About 1214 students from Lyceum International Schools took the examinations and 70 of them received the High Achiever Awards.

Lyceum students are excelling in their studies both at national and international levels. For the past 22 years, a large number of Lyceum students have been ranked Top in the World at Cambridge International Examinations at O – level and A – level.
In the category Top in Sri Lanka, four Lyceumers acquired the first rank: At O – level, Lakindu Bandara (Lyceum – Nugegoda) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Environmental Management and Literature in English, Sumini Siyambalapitiya (Lyceum – Nugegoda) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Sinhala, Dhanushka Nanayakkara (Lyceum – Gampaha) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Business Studies, Ravindu P. Herath (Lyceum – Wattala) Top in Sri Lanka in Mathematics (Syllabus D – Calculator). 

Nine Lyceumers obtained the first rank at A – level , Vidushani Dhanawansa (Lyceum –  Nugegoda) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Chemistry and Physics, Bhuddhi Ranasinghe, Hasitha Dias (Lyceum – Nugegoda) Top in Sri Lanka in Computer Science, Thumitha Higgoda  (Lyceum – Nugegoda) Top in Sri Lanka in Mathematics, Charith Clans Samarasooriya (Lyceum – Wattala) Top in Sri Lanka in Biology, Panchani Jayamanne(Lyceum – Gampaha) Top in Sri Lanka in Business Studies, Salman Mohammed Shukri (Lyceum –  Panadura) Top in Sri Lanka in Economics and Mariya Kalyani Abeysekara (Lyceum – Wattala) Top in Sri Lanka in Accounting . 
In addition, Lyceum International Schools acquired the number of High Achievements Awards, Best Across Awards and Four and more A* at Cambridge International A level and nine and more A* grades at Cambridge International O level.
