‘K’ Line’s newest car carrier makes maiden visit to H’tota Port

‘K’ Line’s newest car carrier M/V Hyperion Highway called at the Magampura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port (MRMRP) in Hambantota on January 12, 2016. The vessel discharged 523 motor vehicles imported from Japan.
The Sri Lankan agent for M/V Hyperion Highway - ABC Shipping (Private) Limited - arranged a plaque ceremony on board the vessel to mark the occasion with the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA). MRMRP Chief Operations Manager Nimal Jayathissa and Vessel Master Capt. D. Milko Stredovski commemorated the maiden call. 
M/V Hyperion Highway has a LOA of 199.5 M and Cargo capacity of 7,700 units.
ABC Shipping Chairman John Shiran Dissanayke, ‘K’ Line General Manager Operations and Logistics Tressel Silva, Suranga Peries and Sarath Perera from the MRMRP and Wasantha Talagala, Reggie Dias and Premalal from ABC Shipping attended the ceremony.
