John Keells Holdings opens trading at CSE

John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) opened trading on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday. This was the first in a series of market opening ceremonies, which will feature the companies in the S&P SL20 Index.

As the company with the highest market capitalisation and one of the largest listed conglomerates, JKH initiated this tradition.

JKH Chairman Susantha Ratnayake, Deputy Chairman Ajit Gunewardene, Group Finance Director Ronnie Peiris and President and Group Executive Committee Member Krishan Balendra took part in the ceremony.

“We have always appreciated the close relationship that John Keells has shared with the CSE and also for their unwavering support towards our Foreign Investor Forums. We look forward to this same support in the coming years,” CSE Chairman Vajira Kulatilaka said.

CSE Board Member Anton Godfrey was also present at the event.
