Godrej discovers country’s best marketing brains through ‘Imminent Marketer’

Godrej Sri Lanka, a leading FMCG manufacturer of household and personal care products, partnered with the Department of Marketing Management of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura to discover the best marketing brains in Sri Lanka. 

‘Imminent Marketer 2015’, the fourth consecutive business challenge was attended by the management and marketing departments of the Universities of Colombo, Sabaragamuwa, Kelaniya, Ruhunu, Peradeniya, Wayamba, Jaffna, Uva Wellassa, Eastern and SLIIT. 
The ‘Imminent Marketer’ is conducted annually with the view of developing communication, analytical and team working along with leadership skills in marketing undergraduates. 

Imminent Marketer competition consisted of a series of marketing tasks including crafting of a corporate strategy for Godrej Sri Lanka, activation strategy for Good knight fast card and a digital task for Godrej Stella air freshener. The competition was followed by an awarding ceremony, where the winning teams and participants were awarded trophies and certificates. Uva Wellassa University was adjudged as champions of the competition where the Ruhuna and Wayamba universities secured second and third places respectively. Eastern University was awarded the best communicating team award and Uva Wellassa University was selected as the best visualizing team. Uchitha Wijesinghe of University of Ruhuna was awarded the best presenter of the competition.
