ECCSL ushers in new era of Belgium-Sri Lanka investment and trade

The European Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (ECCSL) is organising a breakfast meeting with Jan Luykx, the Belgium Ambassador to Sri Lanka, India and other SAARC nations.
The ambassador will be delivering the keynote speech at the event. This will be followed by a presentation on Belgian-Sri Lanka trade by Belgium Investment Commissioner Alexis Bossuyt. The meeting will conclude with a question and answer (Q&A) session. 
Luykx has been the Belgium Ambassador to India since August 2014. He is currently accredited to Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He earlier had diplomatic assignments in Switzerland, Poland, the USA, Denmark and Austria. 
Luykx has also worked as Head of Cabinet and Deputy Head of Cabinet with the Belgian Minister for Development Corporation, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Trade. 
Bossuyt is the Trade and Investment Commissioner for Sri Lanka, India, the Maldives, Bhutan and Nepal at the Flander’s Investment and Trade Office (Embassy of Belgium – New Delhi). Earlier he was the Trade and Investment Commissioner for Chile and Peru at the Flanders Investment and Trade Office (Embassy of Belgium – Santiago – Chile). 
This breakfast meeting will be held on September 22, at Hilton Colombo Residencies from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the participation of Sri Lanka’s elite business community.
