Dealers rewarded at LG-Abans Partners Get-Together 2015

LG-Abans Partners Get-Together 2015 was held at Hotel Galadari, Colombo on 4th September. 
This annual event is a red letter day in Abans calendar of annual events. It is an occasion where, every year, Abans, together with LG, warmly welcome their island wide network of authorized dealers who are their closest associates in business.
The Chief Guest at the function was The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Chang Won Sam, Scott Jung; Managing Director of LG Electronics was the Guest of Honour. Alex Kim, Allan Kim and Jay Shim of LG Electronics also graced the occasion.
Abans hold their authorized dealers in high esteem, because it is they who promote Abans products from the world’s best brands to consumers’ island wide. LG and Abans have been magnanimous in rewarding their dealers who achieve high sales targets with all expense paid foreign and local tours, depending on their achievements. The high-achiever award is a highlight of the annual Partners Get-Together.
The proceedings commenced with the welcoming of the Chief Guest and dignitaries with a very impressive dance act by Solar Heat, and this was followed by the lighting of the human oil lamp. Thereafter Laleendra Brahmana, General Manager of Abans PLC, delivered his welcome address, warmly welcoming the chief guest, dignitaries and authorized dealers. Tito Pestonjee, Managing Director of Abans PLC and Scott Jung, MD of LG Electronics also addressed the large gathering.
Approximately 200 Abans Authorized Dealers received awards of tours for their achievements. The awards ranged from valuable gift vouchers to all expense paid local and foreign tours. The winner of the top 10 all-island high achievers award was Laksala Trade Centre – Kiribathgoda who received a tour to Australia + Italy + Switzerland + Philippines /Bali + Local Tour. The runners-up were Dinapala (Pvt) Ltd - Kandy who received a tour to Italy + Switzerland + Australia + 2 Local Tours and R.A.N. Holdings (Pvt) Ltd – Ampitiya who received a Tour to Australia + China + Lenovo Tab
The winner of the highest achievers awards in the duty-free sector was awarded to Sharmilas Duty Free (Pvt) Ltd. – BIA Katunayake who received a tour to Europe with spouse + USA East Coast. The runners-up were S.N. Jayasinghe Duty Free Shop – BIA Katunayake who received a tour to Europe with spouse + USA East Coast and Asian Electronics – BIA Katunayake who received a tour to New Zealand + Laptops
In between the awards there were entertainment provided by Naadro, Galaxies, Giriraj Kaushalya & Sanka Prasad. There was also a raffle draw with 5 attractive prizes of LG LED TV, LG Home Theatre System, LG Microwave Oven, LG DVD Player and Abans Rice Cooker.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the compere and this was followed by a scrumptious Buffet Dinner.
