Daya and Anoma Gamage resign from Bimputh

Daya Gamage and his wife Anoma Gamage have resigned from their positions as Chairman and Non-Executive Director at Bimputh Finance PLC with effect from August 20th and 25th respectively. 

The resignation of Daya Gamage comes in the wake of him being appointed as the Ministry of Primary Industries in the new national unity government.  Anoma Gamage who functioned as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture in the interim government is likely to get the same portfolio in the new government. 

Bimputh Finance is a controlled by Gamage family owning over 77 percent of the issued shares of the company.

As at June 20, 2015, Daya and Anoma Gamage each held similar stakes of 12.15 percent of the company.
