CIMA’s Tour de Colombo, held for the second consecutive time, concluded amidst much camaraderie and enthusiasm.
This year, 39 teams participated with Team Tycoons emerging as the winner, with a trip to Bangkok for all team members as the winners’ prize. As a leading professional education provider in Sri Lanka, CIMA has been in the forefront of developing Sri Lankan talent over the decades. Its ethos has been to develop well-rounded professionals who are both practical and technically sound individuals, who can make an impact and add value to the corporate landscape of Sri Lanka. Tour de Colombo is part of this journey to drive experiential learning across its membership fraternity, whilst also engaging colleagues, friends and family in a fun-filled and memorable experience to all.
The key outcome of CIMA Tour de Colombo is to challenge the participants to put their wits to the test against some of the brightest minds in Sri Lanka.  Akin to the popular reality TV show The Amazing Race, this event uses Colombo’s iconic venues to explore the fun and quirky side to the city. This year, the participants took part in a treasure hunt, physical endeavours and mind-challenging puzzles. The participants were given a map (to navigate their way through), mobile phone (with social media on the go) and a score sheet (to keep track of their clues).
The main sponsor of this year’s event was HNB Assurance. American National College was the co-sponsor, LITE FM the official radio partner, Art TV the official TV station and Classic Travels the official travel partner.
