Biofilm Biofertilizer receives int’l Organic Certification

Through obtaining the Control Union EU Organic Certification, Lanka Bio Fertilizers (Pvt.) Limited (LBF), the commercial partner of the Biofilm Biofertilizer project, aims to work closely with fruit and vegetable cultivators and exporters of Sri Lanka, in order to aid them with supplying better quality produce to their end users. 

LBF Director Operations Samuditha Kumarasinghe stated that LBF is currently conducting field trials with Biofilm Biofertilizer in several overseas countries, and the internationally recognized Organic Certification will help LBF with its future expansions. 

Biofilm Biofertilizer is an environmentally friendly, 100 percent natural, chemical free, organic liquid fertilizer developed by a group of Sri Lankan scientists at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) with the aim of providing economical and environmentally friendly solutions to the excess use of chemical fertilizers and agro chemicals amongst local farmers.
