Asia Siyaka Sampling Dept achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification

The Sampling Department of Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC has successfully achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certification in order to provide quality service to tea buyers.
The Colombo tea auction handles around 6.8 Mkgs of tea per week comprising 12,500 lots by eight brokers from three elevations (high, medium grown and low grown).
Currently, low country accounts for 60 percent of Sri Lankan tea production. Our prime markets are major oil producing countries such as CIS/Russia, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Libya, etc.
Asia Siyaka handles over 1800 tea lots per week and distributes more than 250,000 tea samples to the trade on a weekly basis.
Accuracy and the time of delivery of tea samples to the buyers by brokers, plays an important part to enhance the price realized to tea producers.
Achieving ISO 9001:2008, Asia Siyaka is confident of optimizing the best possible price to its valued tea producers.
Asia Siyaka commenced in 1998 by a team of industry professionals and has grown to be a leading player in tea/rubber/commodity broking since then.
Further, Asia Siyaka is a pioneer tea brokering entity to construct a state-of-the-art tea logistics centre in Wattala with over 110,000 square feet of prime space with computerized racking location system with ISO 9001:2008 obtained in 2003 and HACCP/ISO 22000 achieved in 2012.
