Ampara District Chamber organises ‘Digamadulu Navodaya’ trade fair

The Ampara District Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Primary Industries Ministry, Ampara District Secretariat, International Economic Cooperation Institute (ICEI), GIZ and German Cooperation is organising the ‘Digamadulu Navodaya’ trade fair. 
Digamadulu Navodaya will be held at the Ampara H.M. Weerasinghe grounds from October 1 to 3, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This trade fair is organised by the Ampara District Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the seventh consecutive time.
This trade fair aims at providing a platform for interaction between business service developers and micro and small entrepreneurs. ICEI works in collaboration with the Ampara District Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to create a conducive environment for small and micro producers. 
ICEI facilitates interaction among small producers and public and private sector service providing organisations for small entrepreneurs to help to continue their businesses by being able to have better access to services. The fair is expected to draw medium, small and micro entrepreneurs, school children, farmers, students of national schools, universities and vocational training institutes, representatives of embassies, development projects, public in an around the Ampara District, etc.
The fair will have many attractions from discussions, workshops, seminars, a lecture series, open forums, buyer-seller meetings, mini workshops, street dramas, cultural shows, etc. There will also be an awarding of micro grants to environmentally friendly small and micro producers from the Ampara District by the Institute for International Economic Cooperation Sri Lanka office as part of an initiative to promote eco-friendly production and consumption. 
There will be a special lottery for medium and small entrepreneurs at the fair. In addition, there will be a carnival, games for children and musical shows. A special bus service will operate to facilitate those who visit the fair.
