Pioneering opticians and hearing care specialists Wickramarachchi Opticians and Wickramarachchi Institute of Speech and Hearing (WISH) recently relocated their leading branch in Kandy to a new and improved location.
The new branch was open on September 28th under the patronage of Wickramarachchi Group Chairman, Mihira Wickramarachchi.
Speaking at the opening Mihira Wickramarachchi said, “Our company has always been about reaching out to those who need sight and hearing care the most and we are indeed privileged to extend our extensive range of world-class services to the people of Kandy and suburbs. We strongly believe and support initiatives where the highest quality healthcare is accessible to everyone and hope that this relocation will extend our services to many people in the area who would otherwise have to travel to Colombo.”
Following the opening, an exhibition and seminar on treatments and services offered by both Wickramarachchi Opticians and WISHwere held on 1st and 2nd October in commemoration of World Children’s Day and World Elder’s Day. Several doctors and specialists, special needs educators and prominent figures from Kandy visited the exhibition. Free eye and hearing testing was also offered to all those who visited the exhibition. The free eye clinic and hearing testing was also extended throughout the following week. Meanwhile, free spectacles and hearing aids were also donated on the two days of the exhibition.
The relocated outlet in Kandy is fully equipped to offer services such as vision testing, hearing assessments for adults and children using the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment, hearing aid fitting, Cochlear implants, speech therapy and auditory verbal therapy. The center also boasts highly trained clinical technicians and staff to ensure that services are carried out under strict guidelines.
