Sri Lanka’s first-ever exclusive wall paper and 3D wall tiles company relocated its flagship store to Colombo 5 earlier this month and launched new ranges of wallpaper, upholstery and curtaining fabric as well as a line of residential rugs to coincide with the move.

Wall Art (Pvt.) Ltd Managing Director Kishani Kaluarachchi said, “When we launched Wall Art four year ago, our intention was to introduce interior design products that were not readily available in Sri Lanka. Initially the local market was not aware of the product in general and had concerns about the suitability of wallpaper for the local climate but as awareness and usage grew, wallpaper has become a popular interior décor option used widely in houses, offices, showrooms, boutique hotels, etc. With our new more convenient location, we expect to reach a wider audience and cater to growing demand.”  Talking about the new wallpaper collections, she said, “Most customers favour modern designs with metallic accents while some prefer traditional and floral patterns. We select collections that suit local taste and continuously update our products offerings.”  Some of the key benefits of using wallpaper include a life span of over 10 years, minimal maintenance, washability, quick and easy installation and no colour fading.

Wall Art has completed a large number of projects in Colombo as well as around the country for hotels, restaurants, offices, commercial spaces and residencies for businesses and individuals. They are also the only wallpaper company who has a team of skilled full-time installers trained overseas who are capable of wallpapering a room in a few hours. Furthermore, all adhesives are imported from Europe to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
