United Tractor & Equipment opens store in Wattala

Showcasing its premium brands, United Tractor & Equipment (Pvt) Limited (UTE), recently opened its flagship store in Wattala.
The showroom was declared open by Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Deputy Minister of Megapolis and Western Development in the presence of Lakshman Jayasekera, Project Director, Western Region Megapolis Planning Project Director, ministry and senior government officials. UTE senior management and staff, customers and well-wishers were also present on the occasion.
The flagship store encompasses an impressive square feet area and has on display premier Caterpillar products including construction machinery such as the skid steer loaders, backhoe loaders, road rollers, etc. Also featured are cat power generators, Dexion racking systems, FS curtis air compressors, BT lift and reach trucks and newly introduced cat solar products.
Speaking on behalf of Caterpillar, E. C. Manoharan, Caterpillar District Manager, Bangalore district, thanked everyone present and said, “UTE has a rich history of providing true service excellence,through its world class workshops, training centers and experienced and dedicated team. Delivering best practices and initiatives aligned to Cat’s dealer model. UTE continues to maintain its leadership position and I wish the company continued success in its future endeavours.”
The showroom was launched to create awareness on the world-class products and engineering services UTE provide to the nation.
Commending UTE on its leadership role in the industry, Lakshman Jayasekera, Project Director, Western Region Megapolis Planning Project Director said, “UTE’s world-class training facilities will be a boon to our country especially the planned Megapolis development project.” Addressing the gathering, Prasan Fernando, Chairman, UTE said, “This is another milestone in our journey marking its 70th anniversary this year. Over the past few years we have made significant improvements to our infrastructure in our quest to become a truly world class organization. This showroom is another step in that direction and probably the last major infrastructure development that was pending in our Wattala premises. The showroom displays products and services available, under one roof to the business and trade community, as well as for walk-in customers.
