UltraTech Cement Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. has reduced the prices of its cement with effect from December 1 passing on the benefits of the reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT) and the removal of Nation Building Tax (NBT) to customers.
While welcoming the government’s decision to reduce VAT and eliminate NBT, UltraTech Cement Lanka said the move would benefit Sri Lanka’s construction industry.
UltraTech Cement Lanka is a part of UltraTech Cement Limited, the third largest cement company in the world (excluding China) with an over 117 MTPA production capacity.
UltraTech Cement Limited is part of Aditya Birla Group, a US$ 48.3 billion corporation, which is in the Fortune 500 league.
