SriLankan Airlines yesterday said it would resume the normal operations throughout its global route network from tomorrow, following the resumption of the full services at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), which had been partially closed for three months while its runway underwent resurfacing.

SriLankan said it wished to express its gratitude to all its stakeholders for their patience and assistance during this period, especially its valued customers, all of the airline’s staff, who worked tirelessly to limit the inconvenience to the passengers, and its partner organisations at BIA.
“With effect from Friday, April 7, 2017, passengers may arrive at the airport three hours before the scheduled departure time of their flights,” SriLankan said in a statement.
