SLID and Iclif to present ‘To preserve or enhance?’ interactive discussion

17 March 2017 09:59 am

On a one to 10 scale, where one is ‘well below our potential’ and 10 is ‘at peak potential’, how is your organisation currently performing in the marketplace?
The average answer we get each time we ask is around 6.5. This means, by their own admission, the captains of the industry are saying they can be 35 percent more successful without adding any more resources.
What can the management do to go after that elusive 35 percent?
What can the boards do to find out if the management is indeed doing it?
Join the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) and Iclif Leadership and Governance Centre, Malaysia, at the Ivy Room, Cinnamon Grand on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by refreshments, as they present an interactive discussion titled ‘To preserve or enhance? The Other Duty of Corporate Governance’, which will explore the equally important role board members play in driving the value enhancement of an enterprise, apart from the usual regulatory, legal and risk management duties.
Featuring a keynote by Rajeev Peshawaria (http://rajeevpeshawaria.com/), a renowned international speaker and author, who has been widely featured in international media platforms such as Bloomberg TV and radio and Harvard Business Review to name a few.
The author of ‘Too Many Bosses, Too Few Leaders’ (Simon & Schuster, 2011), The Naked Autocrat (McGraw Hill Oct 2017) and a regular writer for Forbes, Peshawaria has extensive global experience in leadership development and coaching senior management teams in their efforts to streamline business strategy, organisational architecture and culture.
Peshawaria has been Global Chief Learning Officer of Morgan Stanley and The Coca Cola Company and in 2014 was named one of the Top 100 Global Thought Leaders for Trustworthy Business by ‘Trust Across America’.
