SDB holds 2016 Lakdaru award ceremony

SDB Bank organised a special award ceremony for Lakdaru account holders who have qualified the Grade Five scholarship examination in 2016, G.C.E. O/L examination in 2015 and Facebook art competition winners. The grand felicitation was held at the Kularathne Hall, Ananda College, Colombo 10, recently.
SDB Bank Acting Chairman/Senior Director Lakshman Abeysekera, General Manager/Chief Executive Officer Nimal C. Hapuarachchi and Chief Operating Officer Kumar Mayadunne graced this occasion as chief guests. The top management of SDB Bank was also in attendance.
Lakdaru account holders who have qualified the Grade Five scholarship exam in 2016 and G.C.E. O/L with flying colours were rewarded with medals, certificates and other valuable gifts.
The Lakdaru account holders who are within the island top five were eligible to receive a Rs.50,000 worth of Dayada investment certificate, while the Lakdaru account holders who are within the island top 25 were eligible to receive Rs.20,000 worth of Dayada investment certificates. 
Further to the above, awards were presented to the winners of the SDB official Facebook page art competition which was held in line with the World’s Children’s Day. 
Over 350 winners took part in the ceremony along with their parents. The day was an opportunity to acknowledge and praise the students’ achievements and to thank parents and teachers who have helped them this year.  
It was a memorable day for the Grade Five scholarship achievers and at the same time, a day which they can be proud of their success.
