NCC to hold seminar on new Foreign Exchange Control Act

 A seminar on the ‘New Foreign Exchange Control  Act’ which came into operation recently, will be conducted  on  December 19th  from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the National  Chamber of Commerce (NCC)  auditorium, Colombo 10.


The event is organized in association with the Department of  Foreign Exchange.


 The Controller of Foreign Exchange, U. Alawattage, is expected to grace the event as a Special Guest and give the keynote address.


 Additionally,  senior officials of the  Foreign Exchange Dept.,  will speak on all the new aspects of  foreign exchange law, on  foreign exchange operations,  which have been   more relaxed than ever before, offences and penalties under the Act , new regulations etc.


 The new Act has been introduced with a view to liberalize the capital flows and simplify the processes associated with current account transactions and various types of foreign currency/rupee accounts.


 There will be a panel discussion where participants would get an opportunity to find out more information on the new changes.


 This important seminar will be beneficial to all organizations, heads of management, financial controllers, dealers of foreign exchange, importers /exporters.
