The Lighthouse Hotel PLC, the owners of Lighthouse Hotel in Galle, is to construct a 36-room hotel in Unawatuna at an estimated cost of Rs.350 million. To this end, the director board of the company has approved in principle to float a fully-owned subsidiary.
Jetwing Hotels, as the single largest shareholder, had a 40.5 percent stake in Lighthouse Hotel PLC as at December 31, 2015.
Ondaatjie family company, Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC held 16.82 percent of the firm while as the third largest shareholder, the Employees’ Provident Fund held 11.05 percent stake.
