Lanka Sathosa and eZ Cash partner to offer mobile money services at outlets

Shoppers at Lanka Sathosa outlets island wide will soon be able to pay for goods and services with eZ Cash, as the state-owned supermarket chain entered into a memorandum of understanding with the pioneering mobile money service. 


Upon implementation, customers with eZ Cash mobile wallets with Dialog, Etisalat and Hutch mobile phones can pay for goods and services, do withdrawals and top-ups, pay utility bills and conduct institutional payments at the 300-plus Sathosa outlets island wide. 
Speaking on the planned rollout, Senior General Manager, Mobile Money and Digital Services of Dialog Axiata, Janaka Jayalath  said: “We are privileged to partner with Lanka Sathosa to extend the benefits of mobile money to customers of this popular line of supermarkets island wide.  eZ Cash will open up a new vista in transactions and opportunity for the Sathosa network, and we look forward to a fruitful partnership.”

eZ Cash also offers customers the benefit of paying utility bills and for goods and services directly from the mobile phone. Users can also send and receive money and conduct institutional payments via eZ Cash merchants island wide.
