Int’l Healthcare Exhibition kicks off

The 2019 edition of the International Healthcare Exhibition, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), along with the support of the Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Ministry was officially launched and opened to the public yesterday at the BMICH, Colombo.


The exhibition houses Arogya 2019 and Ayurveda Expo 2019 under one umbrella, featuring international and local players from the healthcare industry.


The occasion was graced by members of the National Chamber including President Asela De Livera, Senior Deputy President Nandika Buddhipala, Secretary General and CEO Bandula Dissanayake, chief guest Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Ministry Secretary Wasantha Perera.


Additionally, healthcare professionals, physicians, government department heads, ministry officials and medical institution representatives among other distinguished invitees and guests graced the launching ceremony.

The exhibition has a large number of local and international stakeholders participation related to the local healthcare sector. The three-day exhibition will portray the expertise and latest healthcare facilities available in the country, highlighting the available diagnostic facilities, supportive care, healthcare facilities available in the country, highlighting the available diagnostic facilities, supportive care, future developments and provides health education to the public on common medical conditions. The chamber has identified that Sri Lanka is fast becoming an important hub for both international patients and international suppliers, and believes that this exhibition will provide the ideal opportunity for the stakeholders in the healthcare industry to interact with healthcare professionals and industry personnel as well as local and foreign visitors in promoting their products and services.
