Dr. R. P Suresh, Professor in Quantitative Methods and Operations Management (Lead, Forecasting and Simulation Analytics, Operations Analytics, Accenture Analytics, Bangalore, India) will be conducting a two-day workshop on ‘Data Analytics for Business Development’, to be held on 3rd and 4th June at Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo.
Dr. R. P. Suresh is an Analytics Thought Leader with over 25 years of experience in Academic and Industry. He obtained his PhD in Statistics in 1991 and Masters and Bachelors in Statistics from Universities of Mysore and of Madras. He is currently leading the Forecasting and Simulation Analytics group in Accenture. In the past, he has worked at General Motors Research & Development Centre India Science Lab (ISL) at Bangalore. Data lies at the heart of business and it is the basic unit of knowledge and intelligence. There is a sequence of steps to be followed to benefit from the data in a systematic way. Data can be modeled, stored, extracted and combined with other sources of data, and mined using data mining techniques to generate new insights and new business ideas.
