Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake toured in Singapore recently to study whether the Singaporean investment promotion models could be utilized for such development in Sri Lanka.
Karunanayake met Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during his tour and had discussions with him over the same matter.
During the meeting, the Singaporean premier pointed out that opportunities to promote tourism in Sri Lanka have been broadened in the recent past.
He also said that every possible support will be extended to promote the tourism industry in Sri Lanka.
Karunanayake also met with Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean during his tour.
