February tourist arrivals up 7%

Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka during February rose 7 percent year-on-year (YoY) to 252, 033, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said in a brief note.


In February last year, 235,618 tourists visited Sri Lanka.


SLTDA said the largest source market for the month was India, followed by the United Kingdom and China. Total tourist arrivals during January 2019 rose 2.2 percent YoY to 244, 299, led by European tourists.
