Porcelain tableware maker Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC yesterday said the operations of its factory in Dakotuwa had come to a standstill due to a work stoppage by the workers.

The work stoppage, which began on July 27, was due to a disagreement in the collective agreement negotiated between the management and the workers, the company said.

“The management is in the process of minimizing any impact due to this disagreement,” a stock exchange filing by the company stated.

Investment holding company, Lanka Century Investments PLC as the controlling shareholder owns 77.5 percent of the issued shares of the company.
