Exhibiting quality Chinese products from more than 80 companies, and creating the perfect opportunity for Sri Lankan businesses to interact with world-class suppliers and source superior products to increase trade, the China Product Exhibition inaugurated yesterday at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) for the
third time.
The exhibition will be held for three days, concluding on November 24. It aims to allow Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to review the latest technologies and innovations, network with industry peers and thought-leaders, expand industry knowledge and boost
entrepreneurial projects.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangdong Vice President Qiu Zhaoxian stated: “The exhibition today is the biggest China Products Exhibition organized in Sri Lanka. In order to respond to the Belt and Road initiative, the CCPIT Guangdong started to organize the exhibition since 2016. Now it has developed as the vital platform of economy and trade cooperation for China and Sri Lanka.” The ceremony was graced by National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka President Sujeewa Samaraweera, Worldex India Exhibition and Promotion Ltd Managing Director Rajesh Bhagat, Department of Commerce Sri Lanka Commerce Director General Sonali Wijeratne as Chief Guest, Export Development Board Chairman Indira Malwatte, Sri Lanka China Business Cooperation Council President Thilak Godamanna, CMEC International Exhibition Co. Ltd Deputy General Manager Wu Chupeng, CCPIT Guangdong Vice Inspector Shen Meihong, Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Guangdong Vice Chairman Linxiong, Embassy of China Economic Counsellor Yang Sau Yuan as Guest of Honour and Worldex-SingEx Exhibitions (Guangzhou) Co.
