Ceylon Chamber to conduct seminar on annual report preparation

1 November 2016 12:00 am

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will conduct its third consecutive annual seminar held to create awareness among the corporates on how to prepare good annual reports.
Titled ‘Best practices to be adopted in preparation of annual reports’, the seminar will be addressed by CA Sri Lanka Annual Reports Awards Committee Chairman and B. R. De Silva & Company Partner Sanjaya Bandara.
His presentation will be followed by a panel discussion, with the participation of two technical managers from CA Sri Lanka.
Chathumin Gunarathne and Diluka Nadeeshani, both respective Technical Managers of CA Sri Lanka, will join the panel discussion along with Bandara. The welcome remarks will be made by CCC CEO Dhara Wijayatilake.
The seminar is held in the backdrop of the modern-day annual report moving away from only providing accounting and legal information merely for the purpose of disclosure. Companies now consider the annual report as an opportunity to showcase its triple bottom line achievements, which are social, environmental and financial. Companies can also use the annual report to communicate corporate messages to a wide range of stakeholders.
The seminar will be held on November 7, 2016 at the CCC, starting at 2:30 p.m. Those who wish take part may call on 115588882 or email to events@chamber.lk.
