CMA speechcrafters programme, a rousing success

The CMA Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club conducted its fourth speech craft programme sponsored by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA). 
Twenty five participants including CMA members, passed finalists and final year students followed the programme over a period of 10 weeks. The speechcraft programme enabled budding CMA Management Accountants to enhance their communication and leadership skills.
CMA Sri Lanka President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala together with the Council Members of CMA are committed to  enhance the leadership and communication skill development of its members, passed finalists and final year students, enabling them to achieve career progression in the corporate world. This programme created tremendous interest among the participants who successfully engaged in the 10-week programme with much enthusiasm. 
The final award ceremony was successfully conducted by Course Director Toastmaster Dian Abeywardene, at the CMA auditorium recently. 
Addressing  the gathering, the chief guest, Prof. Watawala expressed his delight over the prepared speeches made by the participants of the fourth speechcraft batch on relevant and inspirational topics such as ‘Now is the Best’,  ‘Be Your Own Boss’,  ‘Power of Woman’ and ‘Start Living’.
Prof. Watawala also remarked about the professionalism in conducting the entire meeting by leading role players such as President, Toast Master, Table Topic Master, Timer, Ah Counter, Round Robin Master, General Evaluator and all Evaluators including Table Topic speakers.   
The certificates were presented by Prof. Watawala, Council Members Adrian Perera, Ruchira Perera and CEO Kanishka Jayasinghe.
CMA Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club Vice President Education A. Athithan and the club members were present together with speechcraft facilitators Niranjan De Silva and M.M. Zawahir. 
The speechcraft programme was co-ordinated by Senior Manager Member Services 
Shanthi Maheswaran.
