CIMA to hold integrated reporting discussion forum

30 September 2016 12:00 am

CIMA Sri Lanka will be hosting a breakfast forum on integrated reporting themed ‘Towards better reporting’, exclusively designed for sustainability leaders, CFOs, finance directors, senior managers and integrated reporting adopters.

This event will take place on October 6, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Cinnamon Grand Colombo.

With the future of corporate reporting ever evolving, it has become indispensable for organisations to not just account for the balance sheet but also the overall business to create and preserve value over the short, medium and long term. This forum will be addressing how various frameworks and standards can work together, how to improve stakeholder engagement, interrelationship between profitability and sustainability, transparency and the impact of information, materiality and clarity on improving your integrated report to ultimately demonstrate higher levels of integrated thinking within companies.

Facilitating this forum will be DNV GL India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Head of Sustainability and Climate Change Services Vadakepatth Nandkumar. Nandkumar has 27 years’ experience in sustainability research, advising, assurance and training and has provided assurance and training to sustainability reports of leading Sri Lankan companies including JKH, Hayleys, DIMO, Commercial Bank and Brandix.

He is also an active member of the All India Management Association, TREI BCSD - CSO Forum, GRI-Technical Advisory Committee, GRI Focal Point India and UNGC India.
