CIM educates corporates on how marketing adds value to organisations

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka (CIM SL) conducted a programme to create awareness among the managerial and executive staff of People’s Bank, about the marketing qualification and how it adds value to the business. 


The session was conducted by Marketing Consultant/Trainer/Lecturer G.S. Sylvester. The primary objective of this session was to educate the employees of People’s Bank about the CIM qualification and how it helps guide the learner to meet the ever increasing demands expected of marketers.


Conducting the programme G.S. Sylvester said, “Marketing is essential for any successful organisation and is one of the key drivers of any business. At CIM each module is designed based on extensive research with marketing professionals and the wider business community to ensure they match the skills and knowledge required by the marketplace.” He also stated that CIM professional qualifications and training programmes along with extensive membership benefits are designed to support and develop knowledge and increase networking opportunities amongst the 
business community. 


Commenting on the initiative Head of Education Sumudu Thanthirigoda stated, “As the leading professional body for marketing, CIM will be conducting a series of programmes during the year aiming to assist corporates in career planning and development and also guide employees about the choices available to them by obtaining a worldwide recognized qualification such as CIM.”
