Belgian investor Michel Casselman who is one of the investors in My Dentist chain of clinics arrived in Sri Lanka to capitalize on the Sri Lankan Rs.2.3 billion dentistry market.

The My Dentist chain concept is backed by Ataraxia Capital Partners, an asset management firm specialized in listed share investments, private equity and wealth management.

Michel Casselman arrived in Sri Lanka for the opening of My Dentist Clinics’ newest clinic in Borelasgamuwa; making it an overall three new clinics within the month. Despite the differing economic situation in the country, Casselman continues to have faith in Sri Lanka, confirming the fact that the dentistry market is forecasted to continue growing.  The new clinics are in Borelesgamuwa, Gampaha and Kalutara.

My Dentist operations are also backed by Prof. George Jayantha Dias, Director and member of the advisory panel. He is a renowned academic researcher who gives My Dentist Sri Lanka the technical know-how and guidance required to be the best that can compete with the most cutting-edge dentistry.

With future growth in population in the next 10 years and the rapid growth of adults aged over 65 is expected to be a further supportive driver as the elderly population is typically in need of more dental care and is more willing to pay for it privately.

With increasing healthcare consumerism, My Dentist believes the private dental market has room for further growth.
