Second stage of OCH opens to public today

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)-funded Kaduwela to Kadawatha section (OCH 2) of Colombo Outer Circular Expressway (EO2) is to be declared open today by Highways and University Education Minister Lakshman Kiriella. Once the third section from Kaduwela to Kerewelapitiya is completed, the EO2 will link the Southern Expressway and Katunayake Expressway. It will then act as a North-South artery for Colombo bypassing the inner city area, thereby easing traffic congestion in the city. The picture shows OCH 2 final touches in progress
