Ringing ceremonial bell

Nestle Lanka PLC Managing Director Shivani Hedge ringing the ceremonial bell at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) to open trading at the start of the month. A series of market opening ceremonies are taking place every month for the companies in the S&P SL20 index. Nestle Lanka pledged to improve the value it brings to both consumers and dairy farmers in the country, and said that Rs.3 billion of its Rs.10 billion investment programme announced in 2011 has already been deployed.
