Bajaj Auto plans to export quadricycle to Sri Lanka

Three-wheeler giant Bajaj Auto will be exporting its ‘quadricycle’ vehicle to its traditional export destinations in Sri Lanka, Egypt and Nigeria, according to The Economic Times.
The launch of the vehicle in India had been halted for three years due to legal actions by rivals, despite the government approving the new category of vehicles and the company will be reaching out to its overseas market to avoid losses.

Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj said that rivals are trying to muddle the issue by calling the vehicle, which has four wheels and four seats a car, as it is being powered by a three-wheeler engine and is considerably slower.
“For me, it is a superior three-wheeler,” he said.
