Yasasiri Kasthuriarachchi acting Kataragama Basnayake Nilame

Yasasiri Kasthuriarachchi has been appointed the acting Basnayake Nilame of the Kataragama Devalaya by the Ministry of Buddhist Affairs.

The post of the Basnayake Nilame was vacant after Shashindra Rajapaksa’s tenure expired last week.

It is reported that the election to appoint Basnayake Nilame would be held in April after the New Year.(M.K. Nandasena)
