Wijeweera’s daughter directed to NIMH

The daughter of former JVP leader Rohana Wijeweera was directed to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Angoda by the Wattala Magistrate’s Court today.

Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne ordered the Prisons Commissioner to admit her to the hospital under the supervision of prison officials and submit a full report regarding her mental health to Court.

She was arrested following a complaint lodged by her mother, who alleged that she was assaulted by the suspect.

She was ordered to be produced before the Magistrate’s Court on June 24.
