Who imported Zombie masks?

Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena has requested the government to investigate who imported rubber masks known as Zombies for the Vesak festival.

While highlighting the purity of Vesak and the reality of Buddhism, the minister asked what was meant by wearing horrible looking masks.

Zombie masks are popular in western countries when celebrating Halloween.  

The minister asked parents not to provide their children with Zombie masks as it would affect the children mentally.He said Vesak focuses on religious harmony, kindness and peace. It has nothing to do with mental disorders, fear and doubts. By Nalika Rajapaksha
