Colombo High Court Judge Laith Jayasuriya today ordered the Counsel Anuja Premaratne, who appeared on behalf of Parliamentarian Duminda Silva in the motion filed at the Colombo High Court seeking permission for Duminda Silva to travel abroad, to make submission on June 15.

Counsel Anuja Premaratne submitted that Duminda Silva who sustained gun shot  injuries during the shoot out at Walpola in Mulleriyawa, between two factions of  UPFA  supporters after  the local government election for Kotikawatte Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha on October 8th  2011, was treated in Singapore and has to visit the Singapore hospital for further treatment.

However a bail condition laid by the court on Mr. Silva, prevented him from going abroad. The Counsel said the passport was  impounded at the time of  releasing his client on bail, and requested to lift the travel band on the suspect to enable him to go abroad.

Judge Lalith Jayasuriya ordered the Counsel to make submission in court on June 15. (TFT)
