An official double cab had been allocated to the Veddah Chief Uru Warige Wannila Aththo for his personal use accompanied with a driver on a directive from the Presidential Secretariat, the Moneragala Divisional Secretariat said.

However, the vehicle would continue to be the property of the secretariat although it will be for the use of the Veddah Chief, the Secretariat said.

Additional Secretary Mrs. M.P Samarawickrema said that allocation of the vehicle to the Veddah Chief was done after it received directive from the Presidential Secretariat.
