Vavuniya Magistrate pickpocketed

The Vavuniya Magistrate was pickpocketed at the Fort railway station this morning while he was on his way to attend a judges’ meeting in Colombo.

Three crooks had been arrested after Magistrate Alex Rajah had alerted the police, police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said. Investigations are being carried out to ascertain the identity of the suspects. (Chaturanga Pradeep, Susitha R. Fernando)
