UPFA wins Trinco polls

The UPFA, following the re-poll today has won the General Elections in the Trincomalee District by polling in 59,784 votes and winning 2 seats while the UNP came in second with 39,691 votes with one seat followed by ITAK with 33,268 votes and 1 seat.

The DNA got 2519 votes with no seats.
