Two sets of proposals put forward by UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and the party’s Bhikkhu wing will be discussed further, MP Sajith Premadasa said after the meeting between Mr. Wickremesinghe and Karu Jayasuriya and him this evening.

MP Premadasa said he, along with MP Jayasuriya endorsed the proposals by the Maha sangha.

“The party leader too presented his views and proposals. The documents will be subject to further discussion,” he said.

He added that there would be another round of talks regarding the issue. (Yohan Perera)
