UNP probe on members

The UNP is preparing to take stern disciplinary action against atleast 90 of its party members for supporting the government and working against the UNP party policies, UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayaka told Daily Mirror online.

Attanayaka said that the Disciplinary Board of the UNP had urged the Disciplinary Committee to expedite investigations into the conduct of these party members and take stern action if they are found to be working against the UNP.

According to Attanayaka, the complaints include speaking or carrying out activities against the party, working and supporting the government and creating rifts among party members. (Daily Mirror online)
