UNP Condemns Signing

The main opposition UNP said the ratification of the court martial verdict given on DNA Leader Sarath Fonseka was an expected one and an act which should be strongly condemned.
UNP MP Mangala Samaraweera told a news conference today that the party would fight against this move both on the national and international level.
"We knew that the Government was going for this move as some public servants openly said the former Army Commander would be hung," he said.  (YP)
